Before. The lodge had an old thatched roof on top of rusty tin. The walls were painted dark green.

Before. The kitchen originally had a low ceiling and no windows on the east side - it felt dark and closed in.

Before. Another view of the east wall. We removed the utensil holder above the sink and added a row of splash tile.

Before. There was less space in this area. We extended it by 90 sq. ft. and made it into two separate rooms.

Before. We replaced 70% of the old wood on this cabin as well as varnished the wood and painted the roof.

Before. 70% of the wood was replaced and all the screens.

Before. It was half of a gate with just a few boards
holding it shut.

After. We added a new roof and replaced many of the old beams. We also replaced the walls with new wood.

After. We knocked out the low ceiling and put in a cathedral one and knocked out part of the east wall.

After. These improvements added more air-flow, light and the feeling of more space in the kitchen.

After. All of the walls were replaced along with the window frames and a new tile floor was put in.

After. We also replaced all the old plastic green screens with non-rust aluminum screens.

After. We also added a bathroom, shower & back porch.

After. We asked our caretaker to design and build a
new gate and viola!
